Our dear friend and knitting instructor, Sandra Drane, was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2009. Sandy loved to knit and she loved to teach. While she was going through chemo, she wrote this pattern and made several of these caps for herself. She wore them with flair! Sandy printed her pattern and asked me to sell them at the shop. The proceeds went to breast cancer research. Sandy faced her illness with faith and grace, but sadly she lost her battle in September 2010. I offer the pattern here in her memory and in honor of all those dealing with cancer in any stage..
